Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c water

  • 1/3 c white vinegar

  • 1 TB soy sauce

  • 1/3 c granulated sugar

  • 1 TB corn starch

  • Optional: add mandarin orange segments or pineapple tidbits


Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan, whisking to combine. Bring to a boil over M heat, stirring constantly.

  2. Cook until sauce thickens.


Note: When doubling the sauce, do not fully double the vinegar or it will be too sour.


Serve with fried wontons or with stir fry (chicken or fish work well).
